Well, decided to blog after all. Chinese homework is staring at my face now.
Defining my title: Either you rebark and rebutt at the point where the statement was made, or rest your case even after you lay in your coffin staring at 3 wooden walls.
Is that how we should live?
Saturday:
Meeting CCA as usual. The day was the usual routine of flag breaks, songs etc. In preparation for our 69th Campfire 2007. All interested please feel free to join in. 1st September.
Then pioneering. I missed out all while learning how to use a solder for the souvenir. Now must find a good price for clear wood lacquer. Any contacts please tell me, thank you.
Dinner at parkway, ended up at Mac after going Banquet for a look. That's all. Boring, huh?
Sunday:
Math Tuition. Then back home to do work. And watch shows at night. Another boring day.
How boredom loses boredom really surprises me. On days when i'm bored i don't feel that bored. On days i'm hectic i don't feel that much hectic. Maybe its just that adaptation has taken yet another step in evolution. Where high blood pressure and mental problems become a part of everyday life. We're just in this busy street, moving along because other people are moving along, and pushing others in the process. The world is running on a super fast faulty clock.

All that in a second. Amazing? Not quite. Shall end off this 'everyday life' post with something to share yet again.

'Sleep- the only source of rest you get, it's like heaven. Then you wake up and find the world splat back in your face. Get your ass of they bloody bed it tells you. And then you go through the same horrid cycle the whole week until you're immune to the shit you're swimming in. Shit and oxygen have no more difference, you're breathing it just the same. Education people! You don't have it? You can breathe shit and more shit.'

'As the beads fall on the ground with a pitter-patter, some remain strong and rebound off the ground to safety; others shatter into a million pieces. I compensate and console myself with a tear. “A tear for a bead, a tear for a bead,” I lament. I repeat the words over and over and over again… I scurry and try to catch these beads with my hands, but they slip through the cracks of my feeble fingers. I collapse on the ground, ignorant to each shard of the broken beads piercing through my skin. Many people think that the opposite of Love is Hate, but no, The opposite of Love is Indifference. Because if you hate someone, hate someone’s guts through and through, it still shows that you CARE.'

Two quotes i cannot help but agree with. When the world splats back in your face, its totally expected. It's like clairvoyance, living a 'Phoebe' fantasy of premonitions, knowing that the very next day when you wake up from Sleeping Beauty's fairytale, work has established the next Mount Everest. And the thing is after reaching the foot of the mountain, you go to sleep, and you wake up at the foot of the EXACT same mountain.
And like what Xiu Qi had mentioned about education 'inflation', and what Mr Low had said this morning, A University Degree will become the basics for a average desk job. Worst if we're really 'upsizing' the standards.
You might have to apply to become a cleaner by sending in your application, with your Diploma In Environmental Clean-Up, photocopy both sides, send to the company, cc the HR Department, bcc the Ministry of Environment...
'Sorry ma'am, its the government policy. You have to comply. The Cleaning Department has to make sure you hold a broom correctly, mix the detergents with the right soap to water ratio...'
Enough of crap. But you'll never know. Its the future we're talking about right?
We're living in this reality that the first man(or woman) on earth had came up with, and his descendants constantly trying to 'make life better'. Life standards have reached a new high, even in VS. Carrying a metal object with a picture of a bitten apple and a bag with a stickman imprinted has become a symbol of status, in some ways or others. Becoming 'pets' of the educators is a necessity to help achieve what you want.
If our generation is like that, the future has no limits, no boundaries. No more.
Moving on, i hope to be an unshattered bead in others' lives. In those lives i cherish, and maybe in those i don't. But i won't let my beads break, let alone cut my string. Not unless i choose to let them pitter-patter. Because without these beads, i'm alone.
I'm alone. Reality's harsh. I'm alone.
I won't let them drop. I won't let them rain down like how Geri Halliwell and the Weather Girls had forecasted their men. The ground is hard enough. My life's hard enough. They won't pierce me if i don't shatter them. They won't break if i catch them, or not break them in the first place.
What's more important, is to cast upon the beads that spell of strength. You need no wand. You need your heart.
Also, you only bother to hate because you still care. You only truly break a relationship when you have no memory whatsoever of that person.
Who's that person again?
