5th Law

science day today... wasnt as bad as i expected... having fun with elton and kenneth throughout the day... elton is so nice... he'll be joining 'friends' league... kenneth may soon be promoted LOL...

first it was Eiffel Tower with miss tang, to build a tower with:
3 papers, 1 pair of chopsticks, 2 satay sticks, 1 plastic cup, tape.

Task: to build a tower, release a marble from it, marble entering the red box about a metre away...

our trial was great.. all times also score... but in the end competition time we were third... sobs... but we had fun... i was cursing the other teams and it worked like 16 times out of 18 teams... elton was bz rofl-ing...

then it was purple gold with WongWL, idiotic person but anyway... was not as fun if not for elton... suppose to make gold nanoparticles... in this case, Liquid gold... Like wats the point? you cant go to the pawn shop and say:

'eh uncle, how much for this purple gold solution ah?'

i tink he'll kick u out the door... and it was so not interesting until me and andre started blowing the rubber gloves into inflatable hands... and everyone followed along... some stupid ppl filled them with water and tied up... immature-ish...

then recess!!! dates of MC camp is now 20-21st if im not wrong... I CAN GO!!!

after that was saving the egg... and i tot it had sth to do wif biology... eggs...
suppose to use 30 straws to make a structure with the egg and drop 2 floors down to see if it cracks...

our first try was a badly wrapped capsule and second was a starry figure... both failed but it was fun with the straws... and vincent going to every teacher saying:

'Sir/Mdm, u haven gif my group the tape...'

we ended up with much tape... but sadly eggies din survive...

lastly was Starry Starry Nites... sth from science centre... a dome-like igloo-similar thing... inside we were introduced to basic astronomy by nicholas... that thing was realli cool... i wan one at home!!! or for camping...

today was realli realli fun... but the photoshoots were dam stressful... first was MC, i tot i was late and ended up running dere and realising i was rather early... then a shot after MC was JL/SLs so had to run back to change... Last one was Scouts... which was rather late... but i got to see some sec 4s again so was good...

[wengkeong]: ow... the pillow hurt my shoulder
[shervin]: u hurt my ears
[kenneth]: i hurt/heard nothing...

i shall progress on to Hall Of Fame for Outstanding Teachers [HOFOT]:

Life's Talk: Learning

there are so many people in our life we can learn from... not just teachers...
friends... parents... relatives... so on...
but wat i think is that the person whom u learn from is not important.. rather wat u learn is essential... and the key of this lies in observing, listening and application...

when was the last time u heard something and listen something??? or even observe something that was inspiring or worth learning?

Listening is more than just hearing... it is hearing + application... tats y teachers ask u to do homework... to ensure u learned and not heard...
Observation is even more important... stop being at the centre of ur world... start looking up to others and learning wat is good from others... combine them and produce an original u... dun folo blindly...

VS... u haf ur teachers, frens & seniors... i learn most from seniors... and learning is not just learning wat good, but also avoiding wats bad... do not do the mistakes those before u haf made... that itself is a factor of learning...

ill keep this short today... since i gtg soon..

Listening, observing and applying: the key to unlocking inner wisdom
