Woo! The media explodes! The whole country celebrates! All eyes and support on the finals! PM Goh postpones English version of National Day rally! All go watch, no, better watch!
Singapore swimmer Yip Pin Xiu clocks another world and paralympic record on Monday, renewing Republic's hopes for a gold medal. She also clinched Singapore's first silver at the Beijing Paralympics, in the Women's 50-metre freestyle finals.
Singapore's Laurentia Tan secured Republic's second medal at the Games, winning bronze in the individual freestyle Equestrian event, to go alongside the bronze she won 2 days ago for the championship event. She is Singapore's first-ever medallist at the Paralympics and remains the sole Asian to score an equestrian medal in the history of the Games.
What? The Olympic medal heavier than the Paralympic one? The Olympic one is pure and the Paralympic one is plated? The Olympic medal more expensive, more glorious?
I bet half the country didn't know about this. Or more.
They wanted the Nation to know about '48 years' and all. They wanted people to acknowledge these Singaporeans after people commented on their nationalities.
We have never won at the Paralympics. It's 48 years too. What's more shocking, they're Singaporeans. Home-grown, true-bred, whatever you try to call it.
That was one freaking silver medal and it becomes the talk of the Nation.
We've won three medals at the Paralympics and it's silent.
To top it all off, Laurentia's prize money was $25k. And the three China women had ten times each.
If we're gonna be biased about '-lympic' medal wins then don't give any prize money to start with. And don't publicise.
Go Team Singapore PARALYMPIC.
Team Singapore? Have fun waiting another 48 years. I hope for more.

A wheelchair-bound lady littered on the pavement while I was heading to school today.
There's no need to explain why she's wheelchair-bound.

In addition to correction tapes and erasers, deleted files on your computer stay on your computer. You ought to know that by now.
Anything destroyed in this world, merely exists as something else.

I've been rather forgiving of late.
Now's a good time to let others patch things up and bury hatchets.
